The AV Rack is the ideal solution for housing customised installations, whether in in cupboards under the stairs or just free standing. The AV Rack is a fully mobile frame with 19" mounting profiles front and rear. The open design gives all round access for rigging and cable routing during installation. The rack simply rolls back into a cupboard or custom enclosure, presenting a neat finish with no cabling on view. Changes to the installation are a breeeze. No more reaching round, trying to find cables you can't see. Simply roll the AV Rack out for total, unhindered access.

The AV RAck is supplied flat packed for ease of transport and storage. The racks are manufactured from 2.0mm steel to take the weight of heavy AV gear and are supplied as standard in black with a choice of heights from 21U (1130mm inc wheels) to 39U (1930mm inc wheels). The racks have a footprint of 500mm wide by 600mm deep and are supplied complete with lockable, heavy duty 70mm castors. The four uprights are pre-punched to take all standard 19" rack accessories such as shelves, power strips and blanking panels.

Finishing Touches
After installation, a trim strip covers all 19" mounting screws and the mounting profiles to give a sleek finish. Blank panels cover unused rack space with sizes ranging from standard 1U to 4U and also in 1 and 2 space sizes which cover 15mm and 30mm gaps repectively.

Not all AV equipment is the same size. Sky and Freeview boxes particularly are usually much narrower than other equipment. AV Rack accessories include side blanks which are used to cover the gaps around narrower equipment. available in 1U, 2U, 3U and 4U heights, each height comes in 3 widths to cover any awkward gaps.

Individual tems of equipment are held in place by pillar buffers (X06-8504), rubber covered posts which fix to the shelf and prevent equipment from being pushed backwards when buttons are pressed.

Cable management is important, particularly leaving the correct amount of slack to allow the AV Rack to be rolled out. Lacing bars are available in four depths to aid cable management, with the bars perforated to take tie wraps for neat cabling.

Other accessories available as standard include ventilation panels and fan trays for thermal management, shelves, lockable drawers and power distribution units in both IEC and 3-pin mains versions.
